Dear Operation Lock(DOWN)Out,

Despite the tragic storm, we still managed to push through with our annual Christmas party/sleepover. Despite the depressing news that we hear almost everyday, we still managed to put on happy smiles and thoughts. Despite the lack of the Christmas spirit, we still managed to cheerfully give and receive gifts to/from each other.

This was one REALLY meaningful sleepover. Even just by the name (Operation LockOut) itself! It was supposed to be LockDown since we decided to just watch movies all day and lock ourselves in the room and just chilll unlike our past sleepovers where we always go to the beach and do other activities. But for this Operation, it was different. We realized that Operation LockOut would make so much sense too since:

First, we (ahem) accidentally locked the bathroom door at around 1am so some of us couldn’t take a bath and so we just had to change into our pajamas. NO JUDGING. :P

Second, we planned and decided to try to sleep as late as we could and so, we reached 5:30am, just when the sun was about to rise and so we all (except Evee! RAWR!) dashed outside the room to see the pretty sky! But then when the door slammed shut, I realized that we didn’t unlock the door and so I tried to turn the knob and yes, we were locked out. We pretty much kept knocking for the next 10 minutes and screaming Evee’s name to wake her up so she could open the door but we all knew she was faaaast asleep under the comfy blanket since Norah Jones was blasting through the speakers. We all thought we would be sleeping outside. Good thing Emilyn sneaked into her locked living room and got a spare key so yes, we went back inside! HURRAH!

A whole lot of things happened but I can’t put it all in here. It would take me FOREVER.

To sum it all up, YOU WERE ONE AMAZIIIIIING SLEEPOVER. Words can’t even explain. This will forever be in my memories.

P.S Now my throat feels sore from all that laughing and screaming! :(

Disneyland and California Adventure

The happiest place on earth, as what they would say. I’ll forever be a Disney baby :)

I shall update more after the jump. I still have to do some last minute packing for our trip to Bacolod tomorrow. :O

Love On Top

Wanted to share this because I seriously cannot stop listening to the song and watching the music video.

Change

HEEEELLO! As you’ve noticed, I changed my theme and blog title. I took my header-out, as well. I decided to re-new my blog because maybe the previous theme was the cause of my writer’s block. I seriously couldn’t express my ideas and thoughts even if I really wanted to. Stacey’s been telling me to blog ever since forever and whenever I try to blog, it wouldn’t come out. But right now, I feel like blogging. I don’t know how the spark got to me but I’m glad that I decided to blog today. So, here, Stacey Siy, for your never-ending persuasion. Hahaha love ya, sticks!

Anyway, I haven’t logged in here for months. :O I feel like I have a huge backlog to finish! :/

So…. What have you missed out on? Let us back track to May of 2011. My dad, brother and I went on a trip to Los Angeles and Las Vegas. We were going to go to San Francisco but then the schedule was messed up and besides, I was too scared to go on an 8 hour-road trip because of my motion sickness.

Here’s Bryan using the public computer to check in on Facebook before our 10pm flight to LAX We went to Yogurtland! Super duper appetizing and mouth-watering. There were more than 20 yogurt flavors to choose from. @-) Walked through the Walk of Fame during our second night.

I don’t like burgers but this is an exception. <3

So, we finally got to Las Vegas. Here’s a confusing picture of Bryan and our hotel, Rio. I decided to take a picture of the view outside but then I forgot to put the flash off before taking the picture. So it resulted to this picture.

We arrived in our hotel at around 7pm. We were staying in the lobby when this mini fro-yo looking corner caught my eyes. I thought these were yogurt flavors but these were alcohol drinks! :O The guy shooed me away after taking a picture saying I was underage. :/

We decided to walk around Fremont Street after checking in! My favorite place! <3

On the next day, we went to Circus Circus! :)

This is one traumatizing roller coaster ride. Imagine 2 consecutive loops! :/ This ride made me promise myself never to ride roller coasters again. (didn’t happen though hahaha)

Watched Cirque du Soleil Mystere the evening after. :) Sorry for the bad and shaky quality. We weren’t allowed to take or bring cameras. :(

Went to Bellagio to see the dancing fountain.

Palazzo :)

Thank you to this handy-dandy, trusty GPS that helped us through our 4 hour road trip to and from Las Vegas.

More photos and stories soon. For now, I shall rest my eyes.

Day 4: Seven People Who Inspire You

1.) God. With his never ending love and mercy for  all of us. I’m forever grateful. <3

2.) My parents. Even if they sometimes embarrass me (in a good and funny way, of course), I’ll be thankful for everything they’ve sacrificed and done to me. :’)

3.) My grandparents. For surviving all the tough times back then, but that didn’t stop them from smiling until now.

3.) My siblings. We tend to argue at times but at the end of the day, we’ll always have each other’s backs, right? Thank you for always bullying me with your love. Yes, that’s possible. :)))

4.) My friends. You know who you are, guys. I can’t put all your names here because there’s just too many. Thanks for all the crazy memories both good and bad. I won’t ever ever ever forget you guys! :’)

5.) My teachers. For being patient and understanding all the time.

6.) My role models. And again, I can’t put all of them but it’s them who motivate me to do what I want to do. :)

7.) Everyone, actually. Everyone around me, everyone in this world.

Day 3: Eight Places You Want To Visit

1.) New York.  I’d love to go and see the Guggenheim, watch a Broadway show, visit Strawberry Fields,  look at the New York skyline, experience living life on the fast lane and just enjoy all the city lights.

2.) Paris. They say to truly understand Paris, you must visit Paris yourself. It has an unexplainable charm about it, something that hits you when you first get there.

3.) Italy. It’d be wonderful if I could see The Leaning Tower of Pisa up close and personal! I think Italy is an amazing place to visit.

4.) Australia. Because I’ve always been so interested in their culture and their accent/lingo. Who says Chips as French Fries? Who calls Prawn as Shrimps?

5.) California. Specifically Los Angeles because it has the glamour of Hollywood, roller coasters at Six flags, the sunny beaches and those kinds of stuff. And well, as cheesy as it may sound, I’d like to see how it’s like to be a California girl. As what Katy Perry said, it’s fine, fresh and fierce. Sounds pretty exciting to me.

6.) South Africa. It just seems so interesting.

7.) Bangkok. If ever I get the chance to go to Bangkok, I would certainly ride an elephant. No doubt. (I think? Hahaha)

8.) I want to go to a place where I’ll feel inspired, content and just carefree.

Day 2: Nine Things You Can’t Live Without

Nine THINGS, right? So, just material things? Just clearing things out.

1.) My most favorite book in the world, the Bible. I read it every morning. :)

2.) My old, trusty, blue planner named Patty. She’s been with me through my ups and downs since the start of 2011. She helps me keep my day organized and planned out.

3.) My colorful pens and highlighters. They’re always with me. Well, most of the time.

4.) My cellphones! Because. :))

5.) My laptop! All my files, documents, music! I’d go crazy if all my files disappeared! :|

6.) The internet. I’m not addicted to it but it’s been a part of my life or my routine to log in facebook, tumblr, twitter, wordpress and other different social networking sites.

7.) Money, I guess. Since we live in a world where we have to pay every where we go. :/

8.) I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT RICE >:)) I like to eat rice. (Sorry, I’m running out of things)

9.) My watch. Helps me manage my time! :)

You know that quote saying how a picture tells a thousand words?

Well, this picture surely does speak a thousand words! Okay, well, maybe just a hundred. But when I was scrolling through my tumblr dashboard and saw this picture, I couldn’t help but reblog it and share it here in WordPress also.

This picture explains a lot as to what I’m feeling right now. I’m a total bookworm. I love reading books. Books make you feel this certain feeling that you can’t fully explain. I love it when I finish reading a book and I still ponder about it so much for days or even weeks. When I read books, I feel like I’m putting myself into a totally different world.

I bought a lot of books during my trip to Manila but I haven’t found the perfect time to actually read all the books because I’ve been caught up with other activities like dancing, baking and going out with my family so I had to put it aside for a while which is quite sad because school is coming up next month. That means I won’t be able to read all the books that I bought for summer!
